Hudson Shipping Lines Expresses Support for CRecTech

Hudson Shipping Lines Backs CRecTech’s Renewable Bio-Methanol Innovation to Propel Maritime Decarbonisation

CRecTech is pleased to announce the support of Hudson Shipping Lines, a global shipping and logistics leader, for our renewable bio-methanol production technology — a breakthrough solution designed to help decarbonise the maritime industry.

Hudson’s endorsement highlights growing confidence in CRecTech’s next-generation catalytic process for low-carbon methanol production. As the global shipping sector moves rapidly toward net-zero goals, collaborations like this mark an important step in building the renewable fuel supply chains needed to power the world’s fleet sustainably.

Advancing the Transition to Sustainable Marine Fuels

CRecTech’s proprietary process enables the efficient conversion of biomass and biogas from agricultural and industrial waste into renewable methanol. This next-generation approach offers a simplified, two-step reaction process that can significantly reduce both capital and operating costs—by as much as 50% compared to conventional methods.

Our modular, decentralised plant design allows production to take place closer to waste feedstock sources, reducing logistics costs and supporting local circular-economy ecosystems. The resulting renewable methanol meets the stringent purity requirements for marine fuel, making it fully compatible with existing and dual-fuel ship engine technologies.

“At CRecTech, our mission is to turn waste into worth,” said Dr. Lim Kang Hui, Chief Executive Officer of CRecTech. “By transforming agricultural and industrial waste into renewable methanol, we can deliver a scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable fuel option for the global shipping industry.”

Hudson’s Commitment to Decarbonisation

Hudson Shipping Lines’ engagement with CRecTech underscores its ongoing commitment to sustainability and to identifying emerging technologies that will help decarbonise global logistics.

“Hudson is committed to exploring practical and scalable pathways to decarbonise shipping,” said Mr Eilon. “We see promise in early-stage technologies such as CRecTech’s, which aims to cut emissions while also making renewable methanol more cost-effective.”

This early-stage partnership allows Hudson to evaluate renewable fuel solutions ahead of wider market deployment, strengthening its strategic position as the maritime sector evolves under new emissions regulations and cleaner-fuel mandates.
